omm

omm help

Show omm's own help — a short command summary by default, or the full reference with --all.

Overview

Reach for help the same way you'd reach for --help — it's the same content, just as its own subcommand so it composes with a command name (omm help search shows exactly what omm search --help would). Bare omm help shows the short, curated list you see below; --all expands it to every command omm has, and --all --flags adds each one's full option list.

Options

Every flag this command accepts, and what it defaults to when you leave it out.

  • [command]Default: none — shows general help

Show full --help output for this one subcommand instead of the summary.

  • --allDefault: off

List every command omm has, not just the commonly used ones.

  • --flagsDefault: off

With --all, also print each command's complete flag list.

If something goes wrong

Every message below is one this command actually prints. Find yours, read why it happened, then do the last line.

  1. No such command 'zzzz-not-a-real-command'. See `omm help`.
    why
There's no subcommand by this name — usually a typo, or a command that exists under an alias (rm, ls, up) instead of the name given.
    what to do
Run omm help --all to see every real command name.
